Q: How fast of a connection do I need?
A: Theoretically, you could backup your data over dial up, but the slowest connection MyIvault recommends for use is a 256kb broadband connection. Naturally, the faster your connection is, the more data you can back up remotely.
Q: Can I back up multiple computers?
A: Yes, the software client support LAN (networked) computers.
Q: How do I set it up?
Q: How Does MyIvault.com work?
A: After installing the client and creating your backup schedules, the MyIvault software client scans your computer(s) and locates the files for backup. The client then creates a local cache of the data. The software then locates identical data and sends the data to the server. If a particular segment of data matches one or more other segments, the data segment is only sent once. Since the data is cached locally and on the server, that segment of data will not be sent again.
